The Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation (TLGHF) paid an official visit to Hero Hospital in Oja Orile Iganmu Lagos State Nigeria on 20th April 2020. The Management and Staff of Hero hospital with great enthusiasm acknowledged and welcomed the team of The Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation in their quest to put a smile on the faces of the patients in various departments especially those with poor medical records. During the course of interactive sessions with the patients, therapeutic communication was applied as one of the cornerstones to make the patients feel at home. However, the medical team leader of Hero Hospital led by Dr. Daniel briefed the team of The Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation (TLGHF) about the condition of Mr. Joseph Ugwueze.
A patient who suffers from Diabetes which he described as a chronic condition associated with abnormally high levels of sugar (glucose) in the blood. Over time, diabetes can lead to blindness, kidney failure, and nerve damage. These types of damage are as a result of damage to small vessels, referred to as micro vascular disease. According to him, Mr. Joseph has been treated but yet to be discharged as at the time this report was filed due to lack of resources to pay for his hospital bills. It was so emotional that (TLGHF) demanded to see Mr. Joseph in order to have an interaction with him and thereafter, his hospital bills were paid an undisclosed amount was also given to him for his upkeep and other basic necessities. The Management and Staff of Hero Hospital Oja appreciated the efforts of (TLGHF) for their wonderful contributions to the service of humanity. Mr. Joseph Ugwueze was relieved and overwhelmed with joy as he prepares to leave the hospital in order to be with his loved ones.
One of the nurses described the official visit by (TLGHF) at Hero Hospital Oja Orile Iganmu Lagos State Nigeria as a pivotal event that created a center of attraction with the sole aim of improving the standard of living of the people. The Light Givers Humanitarian Foundation (TLGHF) believes in investing in humanitarian programs and projects that engaged, empowered and developed people and communities for better opportunities.
